The provisional results for 2017 have now been published by the DfE and our Academy has proven that we have the skills, teaching practices and commitment to deliver a high standard of education for students in the Medway towns.
Our Academy which caters for many students from disadvantaged backgrounds has been on a remarkable journey over the last five years. In 2013, just a quarter of students achieved 5 A*- C GCSEs including English and Maths. This year 46% of students have achieved grade 4 or above in the 2017 reformed English and Maths GCSEs. There are 41% of students at the school who receive free school meals, which is typically seen as an indicator of disadvantage, but staff and students refuse to see this as a barrier to success.
