The Football Academy has made a perfect start to the 2017/18 season. After 3 straight wins they go into the half term break leading the league table and full of confidence going into the next round of games.

A 5-2 win against North Kent College on the opening day of the season was a great start, especially for forward Krystian Zubrzycki who scored 4 goals with Robert Rowley adding a superb fifth.

A narrow 2-1 win away at Northfleet Technology College followed. The Victory Academy took the lead through a Robert Rowley finish on the edge of the box, but Northfleet battled back in the second half and levelled on 62 minutes. But, Robert Rowley scored his third goal in two games to snatch a late winner for the away team.

The two victories were followed with another tight 2-1 win at home to Ravens Wood School. Krystian Zubrzycki opened the scoring in the first half following good work from Alfie Speirs. But again, The Victory Academy struggled to get that second goal and Ravens Wood equalised from a corner with 15 minutes remaining. However, for the second game in a row, The Victory Academy snatched a late goal with 3 minutes remaining when Daniel Adejumo rose highest to head home the winner and send the home team top of the league.
