At 11am on the 10 November the whole Academy fell silent as a mark of respect to all those who lost their lives in the Great War of 1914-1918 and all subsequent wars. We were joined for our central act by Major Meek who is based at Brompton Barracks.
The service began with a prayer and the reading of Taking a Stand by John Bailey by Mariana Costa Rebelo (Year 7) and Thomas Ross (Year 13). The playing of the Last Post on the trumpet then signaled the start of the silence. After this a wreath was laid at the foot of our flagpole as a mark of respect for those who have lost their lives.
