On the 27th April a group of 18 students visited UCL in London to give them an insight into university life and study.
As students move into Year 11 they are starting to think about their post-18 options. Students were shown around the university by current UCL students who spoke not only of the history and status of UCL but also of what it was like to study at university. The Victory students were keen to find out more asking about courses and how teaching was conducted.
We visited the major university departments and lecture theatres. The students also had an opportunity to look around the Grant Museum of Zoology showing them the role of universities not only teaching but in research. The students came away inspired by what they had seen and are keen to work towards a potential university place in the future.
