Around the World Dance Celebration

Around the World Dance Celebration

On Wednesday 15th June we proudly hosted ‘Around the World’, a dance collaboration of The Victory Academy and New Horizons Children’s Academy. The two TSAT schools worked together to produce a show that celebrated a range of dance styles and cultures from all around the world.
.
The project was a fantastic opportunity for all involved. A group of Victory Academy students were responsible for exploring each dance style to teach to the Year 3 and 4. They then visited New Horizons in March and taught workshops and choreography. This allowed them to gain some valuable teaching experience and also gave them the chance to work with younger students. After the workshops the New Horizons students and their teachers continued to develop these dances and explored their style of dance in more depth.
