Curriculum Information

At The Victory Academy, we operate a 3 year Key Stage 3 – we want the curriculum to ensure that all students have both the academic depth and breadth of knowledge required to be successful at GCSE, and also have developed the required study skills and metacognitive approaches to learning that we instil to ensure students can develop long term knowledge and skills.

Key Stage 3 (Years 7-9)

Students will be in one of three curriculum bands, Aspire, Endeavour and Achieve.

  • Aspire curriculum tier is our Grammar band following a programme of study similar to our Trust grammar schools. In this tier students study two languages in year 7 & 8 and will specialise in year 9.
  • Endeavour curriculum tier is for the majority of our students where students study a full range of national range of curriculum subjects including one language.
  • Achieve curriculum tier is our support pathway where students study a reduced curriculum allocation of one language and have additional English/literacy support.
