Welcome toSixth Form Virtual Induction Day

Welcome to The Victory Academy’s Sixth Form Virtual Induction Day. We are delighted at this chance to share with you exactly what makes us unique. Here at TVA we like to think our Sixth Form is different to most. We’ll do all that we can to encourage and support your goals, while also giving a certain amount of learning freedom, to do it your way and realise your future.

Our Sixth Formers work in a professional environment and many of the structures and protocols in place emulate those in the workplace or in higher education. Sixth Form students are proactive and use their initiative in all routines, including time-keeping and time-management. As a young adult, Sixth Form students are invited to take on additional responsibilities, particularly in terms of developing strengths in self-discipline, self-reliance and independence.

We are part of the Thinking Schools Academy Trust and use Thinking Tools to help our students develop their life skills so they are equipped for success and ready for life after school. We offer a range of both A Levels and BTEC qualifications.

The A Level programme provides subjects across the arts, sciences and humanities, and additionally includes the potential to study further subjects at Holcombe Grammar School, a member of our Thinking Schools Academy Trust family of schools, a collaboration we are very proud of as it offers our students a wealth of opportunities.

The Victory Academy is the heart of our local community of Chatham, which we celebrate and instill as a sense of belonging in all of our students. Our belief is that everyone is unique – everyone has gifts and talents that we seek to grow and nurture. Join us to become part of that community too.

Sports Facilities and our APD Football Academy

We have a wide range of sports that take place at The Victory Academy, including football, netball, badminton, basketball, rounders and athletics. Physical activity plays a significant role in the lives of our students and in addition to their weekly PE lessons, there are regular opportunities to take part in extra-curricular activities.

Students can also engage in a range of inter-school fixtures and competitions, as well as have use of our gym, providing them with access to free weights and resistance machines to help them to maintain their fitness. In addition to a great selection of physical activities, students also have the chance, when they enter into Sixth Form, to work with top coaches at Advanced Player Development, our Football Academy provider.
