Year 13 Transition

Supporting Your Young Person

The transition from Year 12 into Year 13 can be very daunting.  It is the time for our students to be thinking about and applying for their next step.  This could be university or other further education, an apprenticeship or traineeship or even into the world of work.  There are a lot of ways you can help your young person with making this decision including supporting them with UCAS, the Universities and Colleges Admission Service.  To help you find the help your young person needs, The Parent Guide have created a free booklet. The link to this is below:

Parent Summer Guide

Year 13 Transition

As set out in our recent letter to you, we have been creating a set of resources for Year 13 students to provide advice/guidance and experiences that we hope will be useful for the next stage in their academic journey. Each subject teacher has created a page of resources to help students prepare for either University, an apprenticeship or work. Students can access any subject they choose – not just those they were studying at A Level or BTEC.

We will continue to publish a weekly newsletter for Year 13 on our website, and to forward opportunities and further advice via email.

None of this is compulsory but we do hope students will choose to engage with it and extend their learning.

Students will find information for a range of subjects via the links below. We are still available to help and support all our Year 13 students. Please contact us if there is anything we can assist with.
